Player to sign five-year deal with West Ham after Hammers agree €25m fee

Toulouse defender Issa Diop is attracting interest from England, with West Ham United, Everton and Fulham all believed to be interested in signing the Frenchman.

It was French newspaper L’Equipe who reported the Hammers had submitted a €15-€20 million bid for the 21-year-old on Wednesday. On the same day, the same publication also mentioned interest from the Merseyside club and the Cottagers.

Today’s edition of L’Equipe reports Diop’s move to West Ham should “come to fruition in the next few days”. The central defender still has two years left on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit.

West Ham were facing competition from Sevilla for Diop. The Spanish outfit were ready to pay €15m for the defender, while the Premier League club offered €10m more than Sevilla.

The report claims West Ham and Toulouse have reached an agreement for the player. Diop will travel to London early next week and sign a five-year deal with Manuel Pellergini’s side.

Diop started in 34 league games for Toulouse in the 2017/18 season and scored three goals in the process.

West Ham back in talks to sign Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain

West Ham have re-opened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News understands talks between the Premier League side and the Argentina midfielder earlier this month had halted due to the player's high wage demands.

According to Sky sources, the 28-year-old is currently asking for wages up to £190,000-a-week.

West Ham are keen to bring Pastore to the club and have re-opened talks over a deal that would be worth up to £17.5m.

PSG are willing to sell the Argentine as they aim to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

Pastore, who joined PSG from Palermo in 2011, has only one year left on his current contract at the Parc des Princes.

He has scored 45 goals in 265 appearances for the current Ligue 1 champions.

New West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is aiming to sign up to five players this summer after promising the club's fans an attacking revolution.

The club remain in talks with Swansea over deals to sign defender Alfie Mawson and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, according to Sky sources.

Swansea have already rejected bids from West Ham for both players, but it is understood both parties are edging closer to an agreement over the respective fees.

Sky sources understand the negotiations between the clubs centre around the structure of the payments in both deals.

Elsewhere, West Ham look to be close to finalising a deal for Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to Sky in Italy.

Representatives from both clubs met in Rome earlier this week to agree a fee in the region of £26m - plus 20 per cent of the fee from a future sale.

Lukasz Fabianski passes secret medical

Lukasz Fabianski flew to London before joining the Polish squad in Russia to take a medical with West Ham.

The 33-year-old keeper had been training with the Polish national team at their pre-World Cup camp at Arłamów, a mountain resort in southeastern Poland. That training camp finished on 7th June and Fabianski is understood to have secretly flown to London directly afterwards to undertake a discrete medical with the Hammer

The Swansea keeper is now in Russia in Sochi at Poland’s World cup training base staying with his squad at the Hyatt Regency Sochi. On Tuesday he and his squad travel to Moscow for their first game in Group H against Senegal captained by Hammer Cheik Kouyate. Fellow countryman Wojciech Szczesny is likely to get the nod ahead of Fabianski in the starting lineup.

Despite the player being away on International duty at the World Cup, the transfer is still expected to complete in the near future.

West Ham tracking Brentford's Chris Mepham

Shane Callaghan

West Ham United and Bournemouth are linked with the Brentford starlet.

According to The Daily Mail's Live Transfer Blog [16/06/2018, 12:30], West Ham United are tracking Brentford defender Chris Mepham.

The 20-year-old had an excellent breakthrough season with the Bees in the Championship last term.

He made such a good impression, in fact, that Bournemouth, who were linked in January, have lodged a £10 million offer.

However, The Daily Mail claims that the Cherries have been knocked back in their attempts to sign the Wales international.

The report goes on to claim that West Ham are also interested in Mepham, stands at 6'3.

If the report about Bournemouth is true then it looks like West Ham will have to spend relatively big on the towering centre-back.

Rejecting an opening bid of £10 million suggests that Brentford aren't willing to let him go on the cheap, but you have to imagine that the player in question might favour a move to the Irons over Bournemouth.

The East Londoners have hired Manuel Pellegrini, a Premier League-winning manager, so it'll be interesting to see how this one pans out.

West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang on Fiorentina radar

By Giuseppe Labellarte, Reporter

West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang has emerged as a transfer target for Serie A giants Fiorentina, according to a report.

The former Spain Under-21 international was a regular last season as David Moyes initially got the Hammers out of danger, only for a knee injury to rule the player out until May.

West Ham soon slipped back into relegation trouble, though they ultimately survived in the Premier League by finishing 13th in the table.

According to The Sun, Fiorentina are hoping to seal a swift move for Obiang in a bid to bolster their ranks after a disappointing eighth-placed finish in Serie A last term.

The report adds that new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini will weigh up whether to cash in on the 26-year-old and use the cash to rebuild his squad, or keep hold of the former Sampdoria man.

La Liga outfit Villarreal have also been linked with Obiang and Turkish side Besiktas are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
